Lucky Joe’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade
It’s time to put on your green, grab your family, and head to downtown Fort Collins to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the Lucky Joe’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade!
St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated to honor the patron saint of Ireland and the Irish culture in general. Even though it isn’t a legal holiday in the United States, people all over the country celebrate by donning their green clothes, feasting on Irish food and beer, and parading down the streets.
The parade will be held in Downtown Fort Collins on Saturday, March 15 starting at 10:00 a.m. The parade is free to the public and will start on Walnut Ave. on the North side of Old Town Square. The final stretch of the parade will head north along Remington Ave. until it connects with Mountain Ave. This year, there are over 80 unique floats, as well as many Irish-themed participants, that will parade down the streets of downtown Fort Collins in celebration of their Irish heritage.
The fun doesn’t end there! After the conclusion of the parade, stick around for the Old Town Irish Party. You and your family can enjoy some awesome live Irish music, great authentic Irish food, and ice cold beer. So come on out, wear your green, and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a full day of fun! As the Irish say, “May the sound of happy music, and the lilt of Irish laughter, fill your heart with gladness, that stays forever after.” Sláinte!
